Arts & Crafts from Bulgarian Orphanages & Children's Homes

All of the art shown below was picked up on our June trip.  Most of the pictures come from the Panagyurishte home.  The dolls are from Brestovitsa and the cards are from the Lom orphanage.

The framing was done by a shop in Sofia and they were transported in a suitcase on my return trip to the US.

All of the pieces from Panagyurishte are inscribed with the name of the home and the name of the artist - written by the art teacher right on the bottom of the piece.  We framed them so that this writing would show (many thanks to Judy Ridgway for her great taste in frames!)

We're trying to figure out the best way to sell these items to raise money for the benefit of these children
and would love your feedback.

The above picture (13" x 13") is done using sand - wonderful texture (detail at right)

These two pictures were both done by the same gal (pictured below) from the Panagyurishte Orphanage.
The sailboats are 23.5" wide by 18" high and the sunset is 22" wide by 16.5" wide

This is an incredibly wonderful stitchery piece.  The detail is delightful (shown above)
18" tall x 12.5" wide

10" tall x 8" wide

                       9.5" tall x 12.5" wide
These two above pieces are both done on cloth. The butterfly has lots of texture to it.

15.5" tall x 11" wide

                 Female 9" tall   /   Male 12" tall

These two Easter cards were done by kids in the Lom orphanage.
